Building character and giving back to the community are a large part of the A-Train for Youth program.  Our young men and women are expected to provide at least one hour of service per week back to the community in which they live.  They may participate in their own personal activity or join in our group organized program. Some of the great organizations that we partner with and programs that we participate in are:

Each year, A-Train for Youth teams up with Sahara Cares to put on their Annual Autism Carnival.  Approximately 320 autistic children, their families and 150 volunteers enjoy the festivities at Wheeler Farm.  This year’s carnival will be held on September 19th.

A-Train has been an active and proud partner of the American Cancer Society (ACS) for several years. Our teams help set up and tear down the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk every October (for more information visit (www.makingstridesinutah.org) We also help prepare the daffodils for delivery to hundreds of cancer patients in Salt Lake City during ACS’s Daffodil Days each spring. Most recently, A-Train helped set up Murray, Utah’s Relay for Life. We are proud to be part of the American Cancer Society team that helps people get well, stay well, find cures and fight back.
